Felovasc5 mgTablets

A highly effective antihypertensive drug shows signi?cant reduction of elevated blood pressure with no negative inotropic e?ects with a subsequent lowering the risk of fatal or nonfatal cardiovascular events.

Each tablet contains: Felodipine  5 mg.

Felodipine: is member in dihydropyridine (DHP) class of calcium channel blockers. It reversibly competes with nitrendipine and/or other DHP binding sites, blocks voltage dependent Ca++ currents in vascular smooth muscles and atrial cells and blocks potassium induced contracture of the portal vein.

Felovasc: shows greater e?ects on vascular smooth muscles than cardiac muscles so the negative inotropic e?ects have not been seen.

Felovasc: shows a dose related decrease of peripheral vascular resistance, with a modest re?ex increase in heart rate.

• For the treatment of hypertension with subsequent lowering of the risk of fatal & non fatal cardiovascular events as strokes and myocardial infarctions.

• May be administered with other antihypertensive agents in treatment of hypertension.
